I’ve repaired and played with small engines, and outboards for many years. Ethanol is the worse headache for fuel that ever come out. Made a lot of money from repairing engines from people using that fuel. Other than swelling up the rubber seals , O-rings , and floats, fuel line in carbs, keep using it. I,ve seen almost new Edelbrock carbs, sitting for 3 months, without using Sta-Bil, that had ethanol fuel running thru it, that was completely plugged, from chemical reaction, carb cleaner wouldn’t do anything for it. For the few cents more that premium costs, its nice to have a motor that starts and runs the way it is suppose to run. Otherwise I only use Non-Oxy fuel for top priority. (My two Cents Worth).
