June 16, 2019 at 1:05 pm #177328Which of the two photos below is the correct color scheme.
As I look around the internet I see several different color shemes for this motor but I think one of these is correct please set me on the correct color scheme before I start to paint.
 Thanks
Jim BJim Benjamin June 16, 2019 at 2:23 pm #17733310016 is a 1958, and the first picture is correct (blue and blue). Blue and Charcoal is a 1957 June 17, 2019 at 8:39 am #177363Thanks frankf —- now thinking I may not have a 1958 cover as if you look at the picture of it the decal is white. Does the decal have a white base with the true color on top? Jim Benjamin -

 June 17, 2019 at 9:25 am #177369June 17, 2019 at 2:33 pm #177384Looks like a 1958 cowl to me. The font matches 58. Wayne
Upper Canada Chapteruccaomci.com June 25, 2019 at 1:51 pm #177960That is a 58 cowl. The 57 has the script logo. Yours has / had the block lettering in the style of 1958.
-BenOldJohnnyRude on YouTube June 25, 2019 at 7:09 pm #177970June 26, 2019 at 4:30 am #177983Methinks the lettering decals have eroded away, leaving the underlying white paint exposed. Methinks the recently exposed paint is whiter than the rest because it was covered by the decals for so many years.. -
