I just got one and looking for info year, HP, and a picture of how it is painted. I have seen several different paint scheme on line.

Early  4423’s  were dull aluminum with the bluey green panel on the tank. Later ones were all blue.

13385 is not a good serial number for the 4423 Sportwin motors but it is for the 4425 Sportsman motors.

4425-13385 would be a 1949 model.

A 4423 Sportwin with the gas gauge on the front of the tank.

The smaller 4425 Sportsman without the gas gauge.

Munbles—-attached is a photo of serial plate attached. It looks like and original tag.
Could this motor have been repaired with a part from another year or is this a fake tag.

Well that’s strange.  I got my info out of the Hunn book so maybe it has a typo in it?

The number in the left hand column is that the HP. If so my motor is a 3.3hp. What is that number in the left column?
