Price? I do not know, but a Ducktwin in hand is worth more than two in the bush! So that could be your starting point if you know what two in the bush are worth!?

Sorry, Just had to say. Personally, I have never seen one in person….just pics! The colored mallard makes it very appealing…What years had the colored mallard…said above for about ten years…but from when to when?

Here is my Ducktwin it has the latter model single transom clamp. Notice the wings are up and not color. It runs good after a tuneup and new Chinese coils, the recoil spring was broke and repaired by shortening and riveting to the eyelet. Still needs a Waterpump. $75.00. The Merc300 came with controls and ran good after a water pump and cleaning the points. $125.00 and came with a free ’55 Evinrude Big Twin. Plenty of motors here in SW Wisconsin. OBTW these motors are not for sale for what i have in them.

mas, mine is a 1966 model and has similar paint as the poster’s 1955. So at least from 1955-1966 they made these motors with the “ducktwin” trim. Mine also has a single transom clamp and has a different decal. I will post pics soon.
