Evinrude early controls

Anyone have info on the early (1950 – 51) Evinrude rotary control cables? These were rotary rather that the push-pull style cables for shift and throttle. I have a motor that has the terminal units on the motor, wondering what the control box looked like and how rare. A picture of an actual unit or sales brochure would be helpful.
