Anyone have a part number and a possible source for the flywheel puller for the older outboards like the 5.5 fisherman and 7.5 thanks
September 3, 2021 at 9:11 pm #246076This is the “heavy duty” OMC style flywheel puller that will work on the big and small motors.

can probably get by with the harmonic balancer puller type…..Prepare to be boarded!

September 4, 2021 at 6:08 am #246092The OMC/Bombardier flywheel puller is one of the best investments you can make in a tool and is worth every, single, last penny. It is such a good tool, untouched by “progress,” that I am surprised they haven’t figured out a way to cheapen it up, by now.
Long live American manufacturing!

September 4, 2021 at 11:09 am #246118Maybe the Part Number has been superceded to 0378103? I wonder if there is any difference….and what the reason is/was for changing the number?
At least the new version appears to be a bit cheaper than the e-bay link above…..

September 4, 2021 at 2:07 pm #246126If you have some scrap steel laying around, you can make your own puller for the price of the grade eight bolts.
The round one here also doubles as a lifting device fort those heavy motors.
