      Hello all, acquired an Evinrude Lightwin serial # 4022622. I am attempting to determine the year of the motor as well as a source for parts.

          That’s an Evinrude model 402, 1931 I believe.  (For seven digit numbers in that era, the first three are the model number.  For eight digit numbers, the first four are the model number.)

          This is a pretty common motor.  Likely you’ll need to find a donor motor for parts, but some things like magneto parts are used on other models.

          What parts do you need?  What is the condition of the motor?

                The overall condition of the motor is good for its age. Not sure yet what parts might be needed.
