I have a 1945 Evinrude Zepher that I am freshening up. My question is the blue or possibly teal color on the cowling. Is there a close Dupi-Color or other paint that I can use? Thanks–bob

The original color was called Lakeland Blue. I heard that there is an old Volkswagen color that is a close match. Took a look around and found this 1964 Beetle in Sea Blue.

Chevrolet had a color called Golden Teal metallic that was used on 2007 HHR’s that was also very close.

Guys correct me if I am wrong but sometime in the forty’s that Evinrude Zephyr was painted a shade of green. Peter at North York marine lists a color called Teal blue ’47 to’50. Personally I like the Lakeland blue that is the color of the ’49 outboard that is pictured in aquasonic post. All depends on how correct you want to be in your restoration. I have two Zephyrs that will be Blue when they are finished. Mainly because I have some leftover paint.
