I CAME UPON THIS ROWBOAT MOTOR…. IT NEEDS ALOT OF HELP… I AM TRYING TO TEST THE COIL. IT LOOKS LIKE THE COIL FROM A TWIN BUT I DON’T KNOW ALOT ABOUT THESE OLD MOTORS. (THIS MOTOR HAS ONLY ONE CYLINDER.) USING A MULTIMETER, I TESTED THE SPARK WIRE TO THE GROUND AS I NORMALY WOULD BUT GOT NOTHING. THERE WAS CORROSION ON THE SPARK WIRE WHERE IT CONECTED TO THE COIL, SO I PULLED IT APART. IF I TEST IT FROM SPARK WIRE TO WHAT I THINK IS THE OTHER SPARK WIRE, AS I WOULD A TWIN, I AM GETTING A SIGNAL. IS THIS THE CORRECT WAY TO TEST? IF NOT CAN ANYONE POINT ME TO INFO ON THE CORRECT WAY TO TEST? ALSO, A WIRING DIAGRAM WOULD BE GREAT FOR REASSEMBLY IF IT IS IN FACT HOT. CAN ANYONE ONE ENLIGHTEN ME?
