FDE-11 Electric Start Bracket—will this work?

Hi Everyone,

 

I am trying to convert a FD-11 (1957 18hp Johnson) to electric start.  Will the bracket and starter in the Ebay listing below work on an FD-11?   I know it doesn’t say that it’s for an FD-11 / FDE-11 so what I’m asking is if it’ll work on an FD-11.

Yes, that’s the one I am looking for!  Just hard to find on Ebay, or anywhere else!

 

T-Mike did a conversion on his You Tube page and he referenced a kit part number 175019.

It’d be great if I could find a kit, but no one seems to have them.  Plus, and I know this is a little silly to say out loud, but 300+ dollars for that starter and a bracket is a little crazy…..supply and demand, I suppose.

I’ll keep looking.  One is bound to turn up eventually.
