We don’t have anything like that here in the US that I know of Monte. I ordered a “Kit” I found that has a flux, and from what I can tell, some rosin core solder.  I had bought this paste in a tube that was suppose to be an aluminum solder but it didn’t work.    Tubs

        Tubs, amazing work…..as usual.
How was your Maine trip? I got wiped out again in upstate NY with all the rain.

I don’t know where you’re located Bob but our vacation begins on 86 & 88 before we get to Maine. That’s some beautiful country in the  lower part of up state. Had great weather up & back. Makes it easier to spot the deer crossing the highway. They are really thick through there, Tubs

I simply clipped a 6 inch  putty blade on the underside  of the skeg   then  filled in JB  top side.   shapped and sanded the blob to look half decent ( A bit round I guess) .

next time if it  ever falls off I’ll give it  a more formal look but currently with Blue EV paint  my Feng Shui irritations are calmed. 🙂

small nicks on the blade were also  JB smoothed  out and  EV  painted !

We had many days that it would rain  but not the heavy stuff like last year. However when I would check the radar northern Maine would be getting hammered. Looking at your location your were getting what they got first. I started spending part of my summers 73 years ago. Looking back, about 15 years ago there has been a noticeable change in the weather. Its almost noon here in Ill. and it hasn’t reached 70 yet??? Tubs

                Good morning Tubs

I appreciate all the informaion you share, it has helped me on many project motors.

Currently finishing up on the 72T & A-45 before moving onto other motors.

Tips and information shared regarding  Al. tank repair is much appreciated. I have a have a Waterwitch 571-10 that has a small crease in the top side of the filler tanks that I’ll work on this winter.

Tubs, for some reason I tought you resided out West, your comment suggests I’ll.

I’d be just North of you then in southern WI.

                  .

Guilty. I have a home in central Ill. but I’m not here much when it’s nice to be outside weather.  Because of the shape of the Waterwitch tanks you can put considerably more air in them. You should be able to lift most of it, but the actual gouge may be difficult to remove. Tubs
