I picked up a 5 hp Flambeau, Model 174050.
Information says it’s a 1948 – 49 model.
I found a little information on OddJobs,
but little else.
It’s interesting to see photos of the two halves
of the motor split lengthwise, top to bottom,
but presume they’d be a real treat to overhaul.
Was there ever any outboard manuals that covered
procedures on the Flambeau’s?

I don’t believe there are many Flambeau manuals out there, so I would imagine you may be waiting a while! Just a guess, I have never seen a manual anyways sorry. Definitely have not seen an online version someone could send you.

Sit tight it’s the weekend.
I know Greg Jones restored one of them. He did a seminar at one of our MOB meets,
and he mentioned who he got his info and help from but I can’t remember who it was.
He’ll be around before long.
I always thought that motor would be fun to work on.
