FORCE will do more harm than good. A damaged or broken part may mean a long and not always successful hunt for a replacement.
The tried and true Install puller, tighten it up and give it a good BOP! works OR it does not, Leaving puller in place and waiting sometimes leads to a LOUG bang hours later. Heat and hot wax applied at the hub and crankshaft joint has been around since steam engines.
When reinstalling flywheel the taper of flywheel and crankshaft MUST be clean and dry…no oil or grease AND the nut must be torqued to factory spec. To tight and hub may split. Too loose and keyway will be battered. HF T wrench abpit $10. One has to be patient and use only as much force (or a little less)) than the situation calls for.
