I need to make a Friction Washer for the handle on my 1950 Speeditwin. Is there a material that someone can recommend I use to make one out of?

I have 2 extra from the main tilt support but they seem just a bit small in diameter because I have to have a elongated hole in it for the pin. If I use one of those it would put the edge of that hole on, or very close to the edge of the washer.

    Any other ideas? ❓

I use black delrin and machine it from a solid round in the lathe.

I need to make one of these as well. I will wait and see what others recommend.

Leather sounds easiest. I have some laying around. I will give it a try.

I have used either a brass washer or carved one from sheet nylon, when I didn’t have the original.

    . . . . 😉
