Is there a grease on the market that someone can recommend to replace OMC outboard gear case grease?

      I thing something like a NLGI #2.

      Thank you

A few modern-day substitutes for the OMC grease are Lubriplate 105, John Deere Cornhead Grease or Cotton Picker Spindle Grease. The Lubriplate and John Deere greases are #0 and the Spindle Grease at Tractor Supply is #00. I don’t think the original OMC grease was a #2 – that would be like chassis or wheel bearing grease.

I did this video sometime a go to demonstrate why we use the products that Bob has suggested. https://youtu.be/dAu2-zYmgGc?si=G8ZdxYFchhaDI96n
