The usual hold the motor by the fly wheel and tap the nut method has not worked.I’ve been applying WD overnight and tapping in the morning. No luck. The problem now is I can’t figure out how to use a puller. There are three equally spaced holes in the top,but they are only1/16"in dia,not very deep and not threaded. So what obvious thing am I missing?

Here’s a video by Tubbs about removing a flywheel with a "Knocker" when there
aren’t any holes for a puller.

WD40 isn’t a "Penetrating" oil, it is for water displacement and lubrication.
You need something like Kroil or PB Blaster.
        Good Luck.

Using a "knocker" is defiantly recommended, saves abusing the crankshaft threads. However " tapping" usually doesn’t get it done… need more like "wack" and with a heavy hammer. Be sure to be lifting the flywheel, using both hands and having a helper do the wacking is the way to go on a stubborn one.

The knocker and a bigger hammer did the trick.I made the knocker using a couple of castle nuts and a bolt,no welding involved. Thanks again
