How is everyone doing? Ready to hit the waters? I need a little assistance please… I got an Outboard motor from my Cousin, it belonged to my uncle. It’s a Johnson Sea Horse 5 1/2HP Model no. CD-14   Serial no.1561067  Can anyone tell me What year this would be? Cousin wasn’t sure. Thank you!

CD-14 would be a 1957 model.   That is also confirmed by the serial number.

I just  finished  a ping-pong game with US  supplier on Amazon for the  6hp late 60s cyl head gasket  sierra 18-2961.Bad tracking code… bad fitment description on Amazon  but it finally got here $60… outrageous.   local dealer was 73$ +15% taxes  OUTRAGEAOUS even more !

Ho Canada  !  the land of the cheap buck and taxes.

                    your 5.5 uses a different gasket !!
