      Hi, I am attempting to identify an early Evinrude twin. It has a serial number plate on the frame with the numbers 11U806. I’ve gone to various websites that list Evinrude model numbers, but none of them match this number. I can provide more photos if needed. Thanks for your help and time. -Bill

        I would have to go digging to see about the 11 but a U could be a 28 or 29 speeditwin. Some oof my favorite motors. Here is a fast win of the same era I picked up last fall

          Thank you, that does look like it, but it’s pretty obvious it’s missing the exhaust manifold. How hard are they to find?

            You might have to do some searching. My picture is of the fastwin about14 hp the bigger one is the speeditwin about 20 hp there were several models all out at about the same time some had smooth stainless steel exhaust systems. Pm me and we can get in contact and chat about these

              its a 1929 Speeditwin. The 29’s were designated as models 1U001 to 15U000
