Hello, I am new to this website. I own 2 Evinrude motors. One is from the 70’s which I still use today, but the second I inherited from my father who recently passed away. I do not know anything about it and am looking for someone to tell me a little bit more regarding the manufacturing year, model, etc. I’d also like to know the approximate value as while I do appreciate it very much, I may be willing to sell it to someone else that might appreciate it even more.

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer me.

Model 4264 was built between 1939-41, and was 1/2 horse power,
      according to this database here…..

Do some Internet searches. I’m guessing it’s the “Cub” model,
      but not sure.
They’re desired little motors, mostly because they’re “Cute”,
but guessing it’s worth less than $150 to most buyers,
and half that in areas where there’s lots of outboards.

Here’s a thread on this forum that has more information on your motor……

1939-41 1/2 hp. Cub. 15 years ago, one in that condition, would have sold for $600.00 or more on eBay. Since then people have found out most wont run as the coils are usually bad. That can be overcome but they can also be so worn out they wont run anymore and there is no solution for that. I cant say what someone else would give you for it but I can tell you what I would pay. If you could show that it still runs in the water with the prop on, I would be glad to give you $300.00 for it.  If it doesn’t have spark but you can show it has 70lbs. compression or higher I give you $200.00 for it. If the coil is bad and the compression shows its worn I be glad to give you $100.00 as parts. If the gas tank has “O” dents, I’d give you a bit more. First you have to find someone that want it. The value to them could be considerably lower or higher. Tubs

Tubs, thank you VERY much for your assistance, it is MUCH appreciated! Just curious, I live in WI, do you live anywhere near me? If so, would love to stop by to see if you might be interested to buy it.
