That’s the Honda Impeller that works (with significant modifications) with the 7.5HP and 10HP Bail-A-Matics. 19210-2W9-013. There are Chinese variants as well: https://ebay.us/4W9akY

Yes, Item #21 in the above exploded diagram is the bailer inlet and outlet. Item #22 is merely a rubber cover. The ribbed nipple on #21 is for the inlet hose from the boat bilge. Not visible on the bottom of it is the outlet hole that discharges the bilge water back to the sea. Inlet leads to the hole that you see on the bailer pump cover #1. Bailer bump discharge is the hole you see on the side of the bailer pump housing #5, leading to the overboard discharge on #21. And yes, it will always be discharging at least the amount of water coming from the bleed hole.

It would be the cooling impeller; on a 7
.5. I have been searching for the old thread that talked about this; so far without results.

According to this page 103 of the Scott master manual, the two impellers are interchangeable.
But what it does’t say for what year or models of Scott motors. Some of the photos in the manual
appear to be circa 1960 ish, but I can not find a date.

This page is from my Scott manual. They had quite a few different impellers. This manual covered models from 1949 thru 1957 or so.

                    Ok Gentlemen,

Thanks for all the info. Still trying to get my 1962 5hp  t pump water , I have a few questions. A . where will the water discharge, back of the head. B can I put a drill on the drive shaft before I completed the reassembly and check?  C. what should the RPM’s of the drill be if this might work ? Or do I just put it back together and give it a try.

Thank you very much for all of your knowledge.

Oh by the way I have two more Scott Atwater’s in my collection.

This is an old thread.  Last posted to in 2018….

A 5.5 McCulloch in 1962.  Can you post a picture?  Or a model number?

Sure;  I would try spinning it with a drill.  A variable speed drill would be fine.  RPM won’t matter much.

Interesting discussion. It would seem that the bailer pump would see water as soon as the cooling pump does assuming that the bleed hole is open. Should be no more concern for a dry start as one would have for any cooling pump impellor. I grew up with a 54′ 16 HP Scott as a kid, never had issue with either impellor.
