With those guys I’ll bet 5 figures before the decimal point is a good starting spot especially next to those Indian motorcycles.

If possible, please get the serial number for Brook Newcomb so he can register it.

Brooks is the Evinrude RBM guy. Tom O in Texas is the Indian man.

I always PM Tom with more pictures and the number when I find one.

This is at the Chief Blackhawk fall international meet.
They call it a fall meet but it always hotter than blazes.
I started just a little before 8:00 AM Friday and finished
my first trip around11:30 AM. I’m getting too old for
                    all that walking.
The pickers store in Iowa is only 20 miles from here
so they always have a spot there. You don’t normally see
them together. Probably take turns at their space. Most
people aren’t looking to by anything. They are just wanting
to take a picture with them. I got to their space about 8:30
and no one was there so I got to look over the motor pretty
well. I got back there after noon and it took 10 minuets
to just ask Mike what they wanted for it. ($7,500.00) I’d
be surprised if they paid over $500.00.
Except for the dented tank it looked like a nice example.
                    Its Tomahawk for antique motorcycles.
There is a indoor building for show bikes, huge swap meet outside,
and races with old guys on old stuff.
Asking price for this original un-restored Flying Merkel is $200.000.00.

In the first pic the near bike looks like a Harley. Had a 1948 61 cu in that looked just like that one -from what little I can see, that is.

Out-dragged a lot of college kids in their fancy new cars around campus with that motor. Hand-shift, foot clutch in those days – had to be fast. Ah, the wasted days of my youth! How sweet they were. 🙂

I had several Harley knuckle and pan heads
when you could by them for a few hundred
bucks. Most look like the bike on top when I
got them but ended looking like the bike in
the last two pictures. If I had only known.
I still have one of the pan heads.
