      I have a TD20 Johnson, and I want to remove the recoil starter and use the parts from a HS20. Will the parts fit my TD20? Thanks. CSW

        I am not an expert on the said motors but I can offer these diagrams that may assist you. Off hand common parts I see that can transfer is the starter spring. I have listed the information from:

        Johnson shared common parts manual

        Parts manual for Johnson HA HS and HD

        Parts manual for Johnson TD20

        It might be easier to place a want to buy ad in the Webvertise section and get what you need. There are plenty TD parts motors you could get a intact starter setup for a very reasonable price from our members.

          The outer housing is entirely different – most internal parts are the same. . .           😎

            what I want to do, is use the parts from a TS15 or 20 and get rid of the recoil starter. csw
