Hi all. Just acquired an old Seahorse. The only thing missing is the tiller, otherwise it’s all there and in good shape other than a big dent in the tank. Does anyone know what year and hp it is? Can’t find a serial number anywhere. Thanks, Carl

I’d agree as it looks like the ones I have…3.3 hp, 1934

Thanks everyone, just watched Rickrodt and Mumbles youtube videos, Rickrodt’s looks like it’s it. Time to clean her up and get her running! Ty all. 🙂

Oh, If anyone is going to the Lake Hopatcong, NJ AOMC meet October 3rd, I hope to be there with my brother, haven’t been to a meet in over 30 years.

Mine’s an F-70 but it has a cast 200 or 210 muffler on it. Want to trade? 😯

                    quote Cark K:

Can’t find a serial number anywhere.

The ID tag is riveted onto the crankcase right above the carburetor.

Thanks Mumbles, found it today after de-gunking the engine. It looks the muffler is brass…is that why you want to swap? 😀

She cleaned up nicely. Can you tell me the fuel/oil ratio and do I use oil or grease in the lower unit? Thanks again for the help, this is my first time with a motor like this.

They use a 16:1 mix and I keep my gearcase filled with John Deere Cornhead Grease.

When I made new prop and pinion shafts, I adapted a lip seal to the prop shaft but there wasn’t enough room or something to do the pinion shaft. This shattered my dream of being able to use oil in the gearcase.
