September 17, 2015 at 3:03 am #24070Looks really old, early to mid-1950’s. Maybe a Beetle/Marscot or other very early fiberglass boat-builder.
September 17, 2015 at 4:14 am #24074Elgin was sold by Sears. The boat could also have an Elgin tag. Wagemaker boats were one of several that were tagged Elgin for Sears. Brian Fogerty might be able to tell you more. Cool boat!
September 17, 2015 at 11:05 am #24081Looks home built, late 40’s by looking at the steering wheel and windscreen fittings. Is it fiberglass covered planks, plywood or a solid fiberglass hull. Plywood made boats were being designed in the late 40 early 50’s.
September 17, 2015 at 11:34 am #24087Thanks so much for the response. It is plywood and fiberglass and to me it looks to be a fiberglass hull.
It is very dirty but I wanted to take pictures before I touched it. Has been setting in the dry all the years.
September 17, 2015 at 11:39 am #24088I have thought about taking it to the North Webster Meet if there would be any interest in it. Feel free to pm me.
I am going to keep the motor.
