Good work Wayne! That’s why these motors will never be silent! We have guys in this club who can think through an obstacle and come up with a viable solution to keep them running! Thanks for sharing!

For a KG-7, a Sierra 18-3051 or OMC 395289 will fit if you reduce the height (thickness). There was an article years ago in the Antique Outboarder explaining how to do it.

Good job Wayne. How did you arrive at the fact that Honda impeller at least had the correct OD and thickness? What would really be nice is some kind of database or whatever that gave dimensions for various impellers. Sierra has a lot of impellers available but they don’t list dimensions unless I’m missing it. I know, I’m asking a lot. LOL

Thanks, Kirk. I knew that the Honda impeller is a suitable replacement for the Scott-Atwater impeller. Since the Scott-Atwater impeller fit in the housing I was confident the Honda would, as well. Which it did with a little work. However, if you Google different impellers you will find many aftermarket sellers list the impeller dimensions. Honda also makes a similar impeller with a 5/8” hub that might fit the KG7. I don’t have a KG7 so I didn’t order one to find out.
