My family and I have inherited a 1940s Mighty Mite and have decided to pass it along to someone who would take care of it. It’s currently in Michigan. Are these worth anything? I saw one on ebay for $600. And if it’s not worth anything, does anybody want it? Thank you. Ann Beardsley
December 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm #226272I used to have a desire to get one to use as an emergency kicker, and I’ve seen them at various aomci meets, with higher asking prices than I was willing to pay. Never got one either. $600 seems a tad high to me, but they certainly don’t seem to be a $50 motor. So what’s it really worth? I dunno.

December 30, 2020 at 9:40 am #226383I have four, most I paid was $80 for a nice looking and running motor with an intact skeg from a private seller. The others came from flea markets with broken skegs, but were too inexpensive to pass up. There are many members in Michigan, what area are you in? I’m near Grand Rapids.
If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.
December 30, 2020 at 9:52 am #226385Thanks, Kerry…I guess my greed was getting to me when I saw the $600 price online, and didn’t want to discard it if it really was worth that much! 🙂
That said, does anybody want one for free? Have to pick up in Michigan…
December 30, 2020 at 11:31 am #226391Michigan is pretty big… Can you narrow the location down a bit? Nearest major city?

December 30, 2020 at 12:41 pm #226404Thank you for not discarding it, though they may not have great value some find value in them as MAN CAVE art or BAR art or BASS PRO SHOP art or parts to complete another project. Thanks for stopping by.Jim

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
