Is Solas still in business?

I’ve bought several Solas propellers for several different OMC motors and they work great.  Today, I was looking online for a prop for my 1996 28 HP SPL Evinrude, and when I go to sites looking, I’m finding a limited Solas selection, and only for more popular motors, even at a couple sites I looked at when I bought one for this 28 HP last September.

The  Solaspropeller.com  site that web searches give me brings up a “godaddy” notice that the site name is for sale.  When I go to Solas.com, the site comes up, but when I click on “Propfinder”, only a “frowning” icon comes up – no propfinder for any motor!  When I put in my motor type at several online companies referenced on the Solas website, only Michigan props come up – even at sites I found Solas props at last September.  Several companies still are selling more popular Solas props, like for the 9.9/15 motors, but no way to search any prop at solas.com.

With the factory websites being inoperative and/or for sale,  it’s looking like maybe Solas folded up and their dealers are just selling off existing inventory.  Does anyone know anything about this?

Update: FYI: I just learned that Solas is still very much in business. They got rid of the Splaspropeller.com web address and are now just at solas.com, although search engines will list both sites yet.

They just now fixed their online “Propeller Finder” so you don’t just get a frowning icon any more.
