Is there supposed to be a gasket between the high speed nozzle / venturi and the carb bore?
I’m been having some high speed bogging issues w/ my ’67 80 HP, and am getting ready to order more parts, again. Model E, type II carb.
But when I went through my OMC parts catalog I do not see any gaskets there. And, the more I look at it, the less sure I am that it’s supposed to be there. There’s an o-ring which would seal this.
The gasket has holes in the right places, but is not a great fit.
Did I just stick them on last time I bought a carb kit, when they’re for a different carb?
      Many thanks to all.

1958-59 50hp use that gasket. 1960-up motors use an O-ring. Not both. Obviously, that gasket would raise the venturi up a bit. How much difference that would make, I don’t know–never tried it.
