The 4 photos above are of the two motors. The the one with the K-50 marked rope sheive is on the right.

Looks like the K (motor with gas tank) is on left and A on the right. What are the serial numbers on the blocks and sheave plates?

Also you could pull the props and read the part numbers on the inside of the props and look up the part numbers .

Does either one have a tube running from top of crankcase to just above handle and back into the crankcase?

From the pictures they both look the same, I don’t have an A to look at but when I e seen them at meets I seem to remember them as noticeably smaller than a K. Oddly enough a guy on FB just bought a motor listed as an A-50, with an A-50 rope plate. When he picked it up it turned out to be a K-50 with A-50 rope plate. It does happen.

Studying the cylinder block I going to say they are both A-50’s. The K has the area around the intake, near the spark plugs, bulge out. The A appears flatter.
