Thank you Tubs and Stanley for the advice and suggestions. I think I overfilled the gear case, not knowing what the capacity should be, and not paying attention to the lubricant level determined by the fill hole. I will try the o ring trick to see if that will help keep the lubricant where it belongs. Jonathan
