I did notice that the new omc carb kit needle and seat does not fit like the old ones do .Put a new seat and needle valve in and put the float on and had to bend a long way to make it level.Removed it and put in one that was original along with needle valve and the needle valve went to the bottom of the seat.Put on a different float and did not have to adj it.Nice and level but but it is the one that leaks.

The old float valve is probably worn and that’s why it’s leaking.  Bending the float arm isn’t a big deal and you just gotta do what you gotta do to get it right.  If you set the float in line with the carb body, the fuel level in the bowl will be too high. There should be a bit of daylight between the float and the carb body, about the thickness of the bowl gasket.  Also don’t forget the new seal which goes under the seat. If it’s missing, there will be an internal leak  causing flooding and the float arm will have to be adjusted to compensate.

Was the fuel pouring out of the carbs throat or just pooled up in there?

Changed the needle seat and float. Starts run smokes and shakes.Start to adj high speed and motor revs up needle almost closed and then it stalls out. High speed needle may be at 1/4 of a turn out but will not stay running.

New packing and new donut.Could there be an issue other than the carb. Lots of pressure in the tank.

Yes the leak seems to have stopped. By the big donut do you mean the biggest one in the kit or the smaller brown one? I put the smaller one of the two on the nozzel.
