I have a Johnson AD-10 , 7.5 HP that has a bad piston skirt. I found a 1953 Evinrude fleetwin 7.5 HP powerhead for sale . they look like they would swap, change the intake and maybe the head. I don”t have the access to the part numbers to check, so here I am . Can anyone tell me yea or nay? Can I purchase the fleetwin and bolt it to the AD-10? Thanks

The 1953 Fleetwin base gasket is 202518, and the lower unit is Forward/Neutral only. The 1956 Fleetwin/AD-10 use base gasket 304314.
So I’m guessing the answer is no (I’ve never touched either model of Fleetwin).

(found the Fleetwin parts diagrams in Gary’s DropBox, and the AD-10 here: https://johnsonad10manuals.wordpress.com/parts-manual/ )

My notes say 1954 was the first year for FNR on the Fleetwin (using the Johnson CD lower unit)

thanks for the reply and the link saves me from purchasing a powerhead that will nor work for me. I’ll keep looking for one that will.
