      Hi,

Have 1 final small issue with my 1st painted motor a Johnson CD12.  The front plate where the choke, speed, etc. is loose and doesnt stay in place when screwing back in the knobs ?  When I put the hood back on. it is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch back from the hood.  Is there a trick to keeping it closer to the opening in the hood ?  Thank you for any help.

Do you have the springs 61 and 66 and the other associated parts in place behind the plate?

Where do you live Rick? I might have those parts and can send them out to you in a day or two if I have them, if you can wait.

Steve,  I live in East Palestine, Ohio.  Here is a pic of how it looks without the plate.

Ok Rick, I got ’em…pretty sure these are the ones, or close. You might have to stretch one or both springs slightly. If you don’t want to list your address here you can email it to me.

Edit: I’m missing the washer #62, I’ll go look for one, or you can just use a suitable size you have on hand.

Do you have the slow speed knob and tapered screw?

Actually I see that is the slow speed knob. I think I have a high speed knob if you’re missing that.

Steve,  how much are you asking ?   (Heading to river now to fish, will be back around 8:30 to see response)  It’s Walleye  season , fish are biting and Yes, I just painted right over the rubber.
