      Howdy Ya’ll,

I just got in a 1970 Johnson 25hp. And immediately I noticed a cool feature that this motor had. There is a U-shaped pin that rests in the top tilt pin holes. You put the tilt lever to release and raise the motor and rest it on this u shaped pin. Then move the lever to lock and it locks onto the pin. My question is, was this something someone fabbed up? I don’t see this pin anywhere in the parts diagrams. I’ll try to get a pic of it posted in here. Thanks in advance

              Dave,
Do you have any idea where to get them? I would love to have them for my other motors

I don’t know if they are made any more. I remember from way back when. try ebay or amazon or marine dealer.

Think that tempo made them. They have been out of business for about fifteen years.

We sold quite a few of them back in “The Day”. There were at least two mfr’s, and yeah I think Tempo was one. I have one on my own motor.

I had some made by a local shop for my own motors some years ago. Handy safety device for trailering.
