Engine is leaking gear case lube up the drive shaft. grease leaks out just below the power head. When I disassembled the lower unit and compared it to a service manual, mine is missing the drive shaft seal and spring numbers 43-301,975 and 43-300,687 Does anyone have information about the seal and spring, like dimensions or current part numbers.
      Thanks for any help

I don’t have any HD gearcases apart right now for reference but hopefully someone else will know about these items. Also, my superceded parts number catalogues are in storage at the moment so no help there on newer part numbers.

301975 spring and 300687 seal were both good numbers in 1964. 301975 was 5 cents and 300687 was 20 cents. Going to marineengine today, 301975 is NLA and 300687 is $3.50 and they call it a “boot”. Don’t know what to make of that.
