I have a chance to pick up a Johnson HD-25(Could be a HD-20) as seller is not able to provide serial #.

Are the coils for this motor hard/impossible to find?

    Anything else to worry about.

    Price is cheap.

    Thanks, David

Actually, in my experience, the coils are usually ok. And they were all over e-bay when I had a pair to sell.

    Frank,

Good to know. The motor is a nice original, so I will probably have a new project soon.

    Thanks, David

You will need new Leather Primer Seals and instructions to install them. Just send $10.00 cash (no checks) and a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) to Lloyd Lautner, 9289 North Long Lake Road, Traverse City Michigan 48685

Zip code is 49685 NOT 48685. Sorry for the mistake.
