      thanks for replies. whats the best way to pull the flywheel.gear puller or steering wheel type puller

        Steering wheel style you want the one where you put bolts in all 3 holes you do not want to crank the hub. The points get set with the flywheel on the motor. If I remember right there will be a mark on the mag plate and the underneath edge of the flywheel. Line these up then set the points. I am not surprised that it started that easy
