I have just recently acquired Johnson JW-13 3 hp outboard and hopefully, this one will have more readily available service and owners manuals. Can anyone give me some places to look. I have already done usuals, Amazon, eBay, without much luck.
Thanks in advance for your help

July 29, 2021 at 1:24 pm #243885Editing – looks like three of us were typing/posting at the same time – sorry for the duplication!
You will find exploded views and parts lists for your 1957 3 HP at the link below. These are simple motors so you may not need manuals. There is no telltale cooling water stream – just some spray about half way between the powerhead and the cavitation plate. Use gear oil (not grease) in the gearcase. Use 16 to 1 gas/oil mix. If it still has original coils, they will be bad – insulation cracked, etc., but if it’s been used in the last 20 or 30 years, the coils have likely been replaced.

Maybe something has changed and I missed it. Don’t know.

DaveJuly 29, 2021 at 5:14 pm #243904Thanks to everyone for the prompt and numerous responses. All the information looks very helpful.
Side note: The http://www.marineengine.com link appears to just go to their website, not a private Dropbox?
If there are any good places to find old advertising and such, I would be interested in that as well.

I just tried that same Marine Engine link from both posts above and and it went directly to your 1957 JW-13 at Marine engine – it should take you to a list of the various sections of your motor and then you click on the list item you need a parts diagram for.
When the exploded view comes up, scroll down and the parts list by number on the diagram is below it. Try again and read carefully what comes up.
For the red manual in the dropbox, see Crosbyman’s post above for instructions to get to to get to the member’s only dropbox from aomci home page.
