Got this little motor at an estate sale and it starts, runs and pumps water but needs some maintenance.

The gear case came off ok but was dry as a bone inside. Is the washer in the picture supposed to have that split in it?

Is that long spring in the water pump supposed to be in 2 pieces like it is or should it be one solid spring?

From the pictures, does it look like any parts may be missing?

Had one screw bust off but heat/ice cycles convinced it to come out eventually. Thank you sweet patience! I would have never had it years ago.

      Thanks for any help!!

Regarding the carb, on this photo, I do see a thin washer.
I can’t find a photo of my gear case apart, but isn’t that
washer fiber? Is so, it’s probably cracked, and I think
        “one piece” on the spring.
