      I have a couple questions on a Johnson Model 110, 1.7hp.

      Is there supposed to be a shoe on the points arm, or is it just metal to metal contact?

      What is the mixture screw setting?

      J6J plug? .030 gap?

      Points at .020?

        Here is a model 100. Maybe this can help.
        Points= 0.020
        Spark plug= J8J, capped 0.030
        Needle out 3/4-1 full turn out.

          As shown in photo the fiber block mounted in flywheel contacts the metal arm on points.

            Thanks. Those photos do help. That looks exactly like the Model 110 set up.

            I didn’t notice the fiber block on the flywheel. I’ll have to take another look at mine.
            This is the first time I’ve seen points like these.

              The points are adjustable at the points. You should not need to loosen any screws to set them. If you do it will make it more difficult to reset them and could effect your timing.

                The condenser is part # 72-13. The capacitance is 0.12 mfd.
