      HI to all
I am working on a Johnson MS-38 and would like to know if anyone has a picture or a parts manual that shows the linkage between the carb and the stator plate

          Thank you very much
Were the spring goes over the brass shaft there must be something that it butts against to put pressure back onto the plate end
On the one I am working on the spring just floats along the shaft
I will make up a small collet or stop on the shaft

I believe there’s just a tiny washer and a piece of wire thru the rod, that positions the
carburetor end of the spring. If I remember correctly, this setup is so that if you
retard the magneto past the point where the throttle butterfly closes, the spring will
compress instead of bending your butterfly.
