Well spotted Joe!
The boat in question is a Glen-L designed Squirt. The design dates back to 1954 if I’m not mistaken, and I started building it a year and a half ago. It’s now finished, and I’m waiting for spring for the maiden voyage. In fact this boat is what got me started with the whole outboard hobby. I wanted an outboard from the same period to match the boat, but those are rare as hen teeth over here. The first one I found was a 1974 fastwin, which was not quite what I was after. Then I came across a 1960 18 HP fastwin. I quite liked that, but it needed a complete restoration. When it was almost done I bumped into someone who knew a guy who had a 1958 QD-19. I liked restoring the Fastwin, and who could resist a QD-19? Besides, owning a rather fast 18 HP for myself, and a even better looking 10 HP (also better for the kids 😉) was, shall we say, kind of justifyable?? Then I came across this TD-20 which I find absolutely lovely. I didn’t have a 5 HP yet, so I promised myself that this would be the last one. I guess I’m not the only one in this forum with this particular problem. It’s really satisfying bringing these old motors back. And they look stunning.
Below some pictures of the build process of the Squirt.

The boat took about 9 months to build and is now finally finished. I’m waiting for spring to take her out for her maiden voyage.-
