To remove the KA-37 flywheel, the owners manual says to unscrew the nut tight against the cover plate and then strike the nut a sharp blow with a hammer while having someone lift up on the rim of the flywheel at the same time to absorb the shock. Repeated attempts may be necessary and this procedure will loosen the most stubborn flywheel. This is how it’s done on most motors of that era without threaded holes in the flywheel for a puller.
Are the starting and oiling decals still on the tank? Just wondering because these motors do require an 8:1 fuel mix and not 16:1.
If I could, I would post the owners manual here but I’m having issues posting files here and on others forums to. My File Explorer keeps crashing but I’m working on it.
