New person here. I’ve had several old outboards over the years andI just bought a Lancaster Guppy 2.5 HP Jet outboard. It’s a two stroke. What ratio of gas and oil should I use? I want to use this motor to power a 15 ft. Meyers Sportpal sruare stern canoe. Any thoughts. Thanks Todd

I would bet it’s going to be 24:1 ratio, but I could be wrong.

They came with a Tecumseh powerhead so 16:1 might be better. Make sure to use oil designed for air cooled two-stroke motors, not the TCW III used in water cooled outboards.

I ws going to use the same oil I use in my chain saw. Would that work?
