I have a question for those in the know.
Will the long shaft conversion parts from this early 60’s Evinrude 40 hp.

Fit this late 50’s 35 hp Johnson?

No, sorry the 40hp pieces will not fit the early 35hps…Don

The 40hp you show has the "super quiet" double wall tower.

Gale engines never had the super-quiet tower, nor did the 33’s or the 40’s made 1971(?) or later…

I have hit the electric starter on my super quiet 50/75 not realizing it was running. Of course I padded the inside of the motor cover with foam neoprene. . . . . 😀

I just found a 58 Super Sea Horse 35 that will more than likely end up on the boat.
