This is my first real gas outboard for my inflatable after running a minn kota setup to get around with. Any ideas about what engine this is? I think it’s very pretty.

I may be wrong, but I think it might be a home brew made from a Power Products lawn mower engine. We lovingly called them a Pea Popper back in “The Day”.

The powerhead could possibly be an early fifties Power Products AV47 (Vertical crankshaft) which is similar to the AH47 (Horizontal crankshaft). This was before Tecumseh bought them out.

I have a Power Products opposed twin power head mounted on an OMC 3 H.P. tower. It is very professionally done with even the exhaust routed into the stock location. The twin Power Products engine seems to be a rare motor. Motor performs great.

Another Power products Conversion. This one is on a home-brew midsection and lower unit.

                  These motors are way kool!

I need one of those fiber type air filters for the one in my second photo. I took it off in the mid sixties and haven’t figured out yet where I put it.

Your mom threw it away when she cleaned the garage in the 60’s.

Pea Popper, I love it! Is that for the sound it makes or something else?
