May 17, 2022 at 12:08 am #259974OK, read back thru your earlier post where you had ordered the Wico replacement. In your posted picture, the replacement looks very similar to a JD pony coil so guess I just got confused in a senior moment there!

It does appear that the 2 cylinder Wico magneto and
the John Deere Pony ignition use the same coil.

May 17, 2022 at 11:20 am #259987Standard magneto told me the the coil for a maytag twin model 72 will work i have not tried this out but I’ve been told by multiple sources it will work i have seen the coils for the maytag on ebay

My ’37 Champion had an Eisemann 72B magneto. I found a replacement coil for it at Bob’s Small Engine Repair in Iowa (club member Bob Blin). You could also verify with him about the 72 coil fitting on your 62D magneto.
Another source for the Maytag coils is Mark’s Carburetor & Magneto. According to his Facebook page, he recently sold his operation to another party but they are still doing business with the new ownership.
