Just purchased a 1914 Rowboat and we believe it has the wrong magneto and flywheel. The 1914 B plate on the fuel tank as a 1911 patent date. My 1915 has a solid brass flywheel and the 1914 has a brass/nickel plated fabricated, not cast, cover . Also the kill button has a Bakelite knob/button. Looking for photos of the inside and flywheel of what is correct for 1914 Outboard.

Also the transom bracket has 58 holes neatly drilled and counter sunked through the bracket. Has anyone seen a bracket and clamp like this? It has the same part numbers as my 1915.

Hope someone can help with my puzzle!

Thought there was an article in one of the “Antique Outboarders” showing the
evolution of the flywheels over the years on the RBM, but can’t remember
if it was on the Evinrudes or Elto’s.

        Prepare to be boarded!
