I finished fitting the bushing to the crank yesterday. What a PITA, lol.
The lower journal on the crankshaft is tapered, that is bigger on the
bottom than the top of the journal, so my bearing fit is less than
optimal. I’ll put it together and do a test run some day, but I need
to put a different crankshaft on my "wish list". I don’t know anyone
in this neck of the woods that grinds crankshaft for small engines,
and would probably be cheaper just to find a different crank……
        perhaps not easier though?
Not sure when it’s all going to be ready to run……. haven’t even
tore into the lower unit yet. After the crankshaft fiasco, I don’t
want to look at it for a couple of days, lol.

        Prepare to be boarded!

          Welcome to rebuilding an outboard..LOL
We go thru this on the old RBM’s but once you do one or 3 of them, it does get easier…. just time consuming…But the joy when you run it for the first time…oh mylanta!!!!!

It only cost me $60 to have my Caille Liberty Single crank ground…well worth it
