All of my outboard knowledge for the last 30 years revolves around the 1950’s OMC outboards. So, when a close friend emailed some photos of a Martin “60” to me asking for information, I was limited to the data in my 2002 copy of Peter Hunn’s book The Old Outboard Book.
He is asking for a value as it sits. The value guide in the book is all I have to go on.
My opinion is that the motor is very complete. The motor turns freely. No obvious damage to the motor. The hood looks fairly good but paint is s scraped up.
      The I.D. plate reads: 5 C 41805 S
      Location is Central Texas.
Might someone give me a general value? Also, he asked about parts availability and I am clueless about this brand.
Thank you very much for any information,
      Drifter

Guess the value would be whatever someone is willing to pay. Hard to say without seeing some pics – got any available you could post? Some parts are available at Larson Outboard Service – http://www.martinoutboards.com

Martin’s are very good motors. They are plentiful
but don’t have a strong demand so most models
are easy to come by. Likewise they don’t have
a great deal of value except for the higher horse
power models. You can get most any part you
          would need from Russ Larson.
